You can't fix what you can't see.
When you're eating a lot less, for example on prescribed weight-loss injections, it's easy to fall short on the vitamins, minerals and protein your body needs, often without realising. If you never check what's wrong, you can never fix the root problem.
One blood test shows what's really going on. Then we call you and explain exactly what it means.
We don't just send you numbers. We call you.
Most home blood tests email you a page of numbers and leave you to work it out. But what does a vitamin D of 38 or a ferritin of 24 actually mean for you? Most people have no idea.
Once your results are in, your Protocol specialist calls you, goes through every result in plain English and helps you assess what's actually going on inside, and what to focus on to put it right.
- We call you once your results are in
- We explain every marker in plain English
- We help you find what’s really behind how you feel
- You leave with a clear plan for diet, training and supplements
Your specialist explains your results and recommends next steps. They don't diagnose medical conditions; if anything needs medical attention, we'll advise you to speak to your GP.
We need to know what's going on, to fix what's going on
When your appetite changes, your body changes too. A blood test is the clearest way to see where you are, and what you need to get back on track.
Your weight is one number. Your bloods show how your body is actually doing: your nutrient levels, energy markers and more.
Eating a lot less, for example on weight-loss injections, can leave you short on vitamin D, B12, iron and protein without you noticing. Testing shows what’s low before it holds you back.
If you never check what’s wrong, you can never fix the root problem. Your results replace guesswork with your actual numbers.
Feeling tired, losing strength or noticing changes in your hair or skin? Your bloods help explain why.
Retest every few months and watch your numbers change, so you know your routine is working.
Your specialist turns your results into clear next steps for your diet, training and supplements.
Which of these sounds like you?
Choose what you're noticing and see which markers we look at.
Always tired
Eating less food can mean less iron, vitamin B12 and folate, which all contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Low vitamin D and changes in thyroid function are also common reasons people feel drained.
- Iron stores (ferritin)
- Vitamin B12 and folate
- Vitamin D
- Thyroid function
Hair thinning
Hair is one of the first places that shows when your body is short on something. Low iron stores and changes in thyroid function are two of the most common reasons we look at.
- Iron stores (ferritin)
- Thyroid function
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B12
Losing strength
When you're eating less, holding on to muscle gets harder. Your bloods help show whether your nutrients and hormones are working for you or against you.
- Vitamin D
- Key hormones
- Thyroid function
- Kidney function
Low mood
Low vitamin D through the UK winter is very common, and B12, folate and thyroid function all play a part in how you feel day to day.
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B12 and folate
- Thyroid function
Digestion changes
Changes in how much and what you eat can affect how well you take in nutrients like iron and B12. Your liver markers also give a picture of how your body is coping.
- Iron stores (ferritin)
- Vitamin B12 and folate
- Liver function
Just want a check-up
Weight change is a good time to check the bigger picture: your blood sugar, cholesterol and how your liver and kidneys are doing.
- Blood sugar (HbA1c)
- Cholesterol profile
- Liver function
- Kidney function
Symptoms like these can have many causes. A blood test helps show what's going on, but it isn't a diagnosis. If you're worried about a symptom, speak to your GP.

Blood testing questions
Why test if I’m on weight-loss injections?
Weight-loss injections work by reducing your appetite, so most people eat a lot less. Less food means less of the vitamins, minerals and protein that come with it, and shortfalls can build up over weeks and months without obvious signs. Tiredness, hair thinning or losing strength are often the first things people notice.
A blood test shows whether that’s happening to you, so you can fix the root cause instead of guessing. Keep taking your medication as prescribed and speak to your prescriber about any concerns.
What happens on the results call?
Once your results are back, your Protocol specialist calls you. They go through every result with you, explain what it means in plain English, and help you assess what’s actually going on inside. You leave with a clear plan for diet, training and supplements, so your health keeps improving.
How quickly will I get my kit?
We dispatch your kit within 1 working day, and it arrives the next day.
How do I take my sample?
Your kit includes everything you need and step-by-step instructions. For the best sample, drink a glass of water beforehand, warm your hands under warm water for a few minutes, and keep your hand below your heart while you collect. Most people are done in a few minutes.
When should I take and post my sample?
Take your sample in the morning if you can, before exercise, and follow any fasting instructions included with your kit. We recommend posting it back Monday to Thursday, so it doesn't sit in the post over the weekend.
Do I need to go to a clinic?
No. Your kit is posted to you, you take your sample at home and send it back to us.
What if something looks concerning?
If any result needs medical attention, your specialist will tell you on your call and advise you to speak to your GP. You can share your results with your GP at any time.
What's the difference between the free consultation and the blood test?
The free consultation is a call to talk through your goals and whether testing is right for you. The Personalised Protocol Blood Test includes the test itself, your results and a full 1:1 evaluation.
Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. Your evaluation helps you understand your results and what to do next. If anything needs medical attention, we'll recommend you speak to your GP.
How often should I retest?
Many people retest every three months so they can see their numbers change and adjust their plan.
